Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most widely known types of talk therapy and one of the most widely researched treatments being used today. It is often characterized as being practical and pragmatic. The premise of CBT is that how you think and interpret events affects how you behave, and ultimately how you feel. CBT is a collaborative type of therapy where you and your therapist will work together to develop a plan of action to target the problem(s) you are struggling with. As an active participant in the therapy process, you will be learning new ways to interpret and respond to your everyday life and create new, more positive ways of thinking and behaving.

What to expect: You and your counselor will meet on a regular schedule to dive into the difficulties that you are facing. Each meeting will be a safe space to say what you need to express, learn new ways of thinking and behaving, move you out of pain and into peace, and feel all the feels with a supportive witness and guide.
